Artist’s Statement
My paintings explore the relationship between light, texture, and the natural landscape. Working primarily in acrylic, I build layers of color and texture to capture the way light moves through trees, across hills, and over open spaces. Holding the memory of wind, water and time. Each surface becomes a reflection of nature’s changing moods — shifting from stillness to motion, shadow to illumination.
Trees are central to my work. They embody strength, renewal and endurance, yet they are also constantly transformed by light and season. Through textured layers and color, I try to express that balance between permanence and change — the quiet dialogue between earth and sky.
My paintings are not just depictions of place, but reflections of emotion — of belonging, calm, and wonder. My goal is to create landscapes that are not only seen, but felt — spaces where viewers can pause, breathe, and experience the vitality of the natural world.
